Freehand tool creates rough selections by tracing around canvas. No default shortcut, requires manual shortcut settings adjustment. Selection appears as marching ants pattern after clicking. Can be transformed using Ctrl/Cmd + T or Select > Edit Selection. Invert selection using Shift + Control/Command + I
Selections allow picking specific areas of artwork for transformation. Selections can be made beyond canvas boundary. Most selection tools stay inside selected area
Magic Wand selects pixels based on tone and color, unlike other selection tools. Tool works by clicking on areas that share same color and brightness values. Default Tolerance value is 32, selecting pixels within 32 shades of difference
Select tool located in All Apps or Applications folder. Click and drag to select desired area. Use Refine Edge option to modify selection. Press Ctrl+D to deselect areas
Layer masks allow hiding or revealing parts of images without permanent deletion. Background layers cannot be masked, must be duplicated first. Masking can be done through Layer Mask icon or Layer > Layer Mask menu. Mask colors can be changed using black, white, and shades of gray
WorldEdit requires selecting regions for editing purposes. Cuboids can be selected by choosing two points at corners. Selection lines can be viewed via //drawsel command or client-side mods
