- Preparation Method
- Jasmine tea requires loose leaf tea and fresh jasmine flowers
- Tea leaves are layered with flowers in a glass jar
- Heavy container is placed on top and jar is sealed
- Tea and flowers must sit together for at least 24 hours
- Process can be extended to 3 weeks for stronger scent
- Steeping Method
- 8-10 ounces of filtered water is heated to boiling point
- One heaping teaspoon of jasmine tea is added
- Tea steeps for 5-7 minutes
- Leaves are strained and served warm
- Usage
- Can be enjoyed alone or with meals
- Best served without milk or sweetener
- Suitable for desserts like scones and cookies
