Okapi is a medium-sized giraffe endemic to northeast Democratic Republic of Congo. Stands 1.5m tall at shoulder, weighs 200-350kg with chocolate-reddish brown coat. Males have distinctive ossicones (horn-like structures) on head, females lack them. Lives 20-30 years, primarily solitary except during breeding season
