    Pouran Derakhshandeh, İran sinemasının önde gelen kadın yönetmenlerinden biri olan tanınmış bir İranlı film yapımcısıdır.

    24 Mart 1941'de İran'ın Rasht şehrinde doğan Derakhshandeh, toplumsal konulara değinen düşündürücü filmleri ve kadınların yaşamlarını keşfeden yapımlarıyla İran sinemasında silinmez bir iz bırakmıştır.

    Derakhshandeh'in kariyeri dört on yılı aşkın bir süreyi kapsamakta ve bu süre boyunca İran sinemasına yaptığı olağanüstü katkılar nedeniyle birçok ödül ve uluslararası tanınma kazanmıştır.
