    İranlı yönetmen. 1975 yılından beri Birleşik Krallık'ta Sussex'de yaşamıştır. 1958 yılında stüdyosunda tanıştığı İranlı şair Füruğ Ferruhzad ile ölümüne kadar süren tartışmalı olan ilişkisi ile anılır.
