    • Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) is Tanzania's largest and busiest airport
    • Located 12 kilometers southwest of Dar es Salaam city center
    • Operated by Tanzania Airports Authority (TAA) with IATA code DAR
    • Currently has two terminals: Terminal 1 and Terminal 2
    Historical Development
    • Originally called Mkeje Aerodrome during colonial period
    • Moved to Ukonga in 1951, opened as Terminal 1 in 1954
    • Terminal 2 opened in 1984, increasing capacity to 1.5 million passengers
    Future Development
    • Terminal 3 construction planned to handle 6 million passengers annually
