- To configure and manage a switch, you need to enter the correct password for login.
- If you forget the console login password, there are two solutions: log in using another method or clear the password using the bootrom.
- For the first solution, you can log in using Telnet or SSH to reconfigure the console login password.

- For versions NVR 10 ARS 06 and later, the default bootrom password is "admin@huawei.com" for all switches.
- For earlier versions, the default bootrom password is "huawei" for fixed switches and "00" for modular switches.

- To log in to the switch, enter the console user interface view and configure password authentication.
- Set the login password to "huawei" and exit the view, then save the configuration.
