    Visual Basic, Microsoft tarafından geliştirilen ve Windows tabanlı uygulamalar oluşturmak için kullanılan görsel bir programlama dilidir. Temel amacı, kullanıcıların grafik arayüzler tasarlayarak hızlı uygulama geliştirmesini sağlamaktır.

    Nesne yönelimli ve olay tabanlı yapısıyla dikkat çeker. Özellikle masaüstü uygulamaları, veritabanı entegrasyonu ve otomasyon senaryolarında yaygın olarak tercih edilir. Ayrıca Microsoft Office ile entegre çalışarak makrolar oluşturulmasına imkan tanır.

    Basit sözdizimi ve geniş topluluk desteği sayesinde yeni başlayanlar için ideal bir dildir. Ancak performans sınırlamaları ve modern dillerle karşılaştırıldığında bazı eksiklikleri bulunur.
