    Genel bilgiler

    Nuri İyem (d. 1915 - ö. 18 Haziran 2005), Türk ressam ve toplumsal-gerçekçi sanat akımının önde gelen isimlerindendir.

    Anadolulu kadın portreleriyle tanınmıştır. 3500 civarında resmî vardır.

    1941 yılında Avni Arbaş, Agop Arad, Turgut Atalay, Haşmet Akal, Kemal Sönmezler, Selim Turan, Fethi Karakaş, Ferruh Başağa, Mümtaz Yener ile beraber "Yeniler" grubunu oluşturmuş ve "Liman" adlı bir sergi ile toplumsal-gerçekçi sanat görüşünü ortaya koymuştur.
