    Lux, Lisp ailesinden işlevsel ve statik tipli bir programlama dilidir. Java Sanal Makinesi (JVM), JavaScript, Python, Ruby ve Lua gibi platformlarda çalışabilen çok yönlü bir dil olarak tasarlanmıştır.

    Clojure, Haskell ve Standard ML gibi dillerden esinlenen Lux, makrolar ve derleyici uzantılarıyla genişletilebilir bir yapıya sahiptir. JVM hedefli derleyicisi ve standart kütüphanesi beta aşamasında olsa da aktif olarak geliştirilmektedir.

    Lux, meta-programlama ve derleme zamanı tür sistemleriyle dikkat çeker. Diğer platformlara derlenebilen kütüphaneler üretebilme özelliğiyle poliglot projeler için uygun bir araçtır.
