    Genel bilgiler

    Lucio Fontana (1899-1968) - İtalyan asıllı Arjantinli sanatçı, yeni bir sanat biçimi yaratmak için farklı ortamları birleştirmesiyle tanınan ünlü bir sanatçıydı.

    1960'larda İtalya'daki sanat hareketlerine yaptığı katkılar onu pek çok kişi için etkili bir sanatçı yapmıştır.

    Fontana, ilk yıllarında heykeltıraş olan babasının yanında çalıştıktan sonra, 1920'lerin ortalarında resmi olarak eğitimine başlamak için Milano'ya taşınmadan önce kendi stüdyosunu açtı. Ünlü heykeltıraş Adolf Wildt'ın koruyucusuydu.

    Fontana, 1930'da Milano'daki ilk gerçek sergisini sunduğunda artık ün kazanmaya başladı.
