    Jean-Pierre Abel-Rémusat (5 Eylül 1788 — 2 Haziran 1832), en çok Collège de France'da ilk Sinoloji Kürsüsü kurucusu olarak bilinen bir Fransız sinologdu.

    Rémusat genç bir adam olarak tıp okudu, ancak bir Çin şifalı bitki incelemesini keşfetmesi onu Çin diline çekti ve beş yılını kendi kendine okumayı öğretmekle geçirdi. Çince konularda çok sayıda iyi karşılanan makale yayınladıktan sonra, 1814'te Collège de France'da Çince üzerine bir kürsü oluşturuldu ve başına Rémusat geçti.
