    Herbert Quandt

    Genel bilgiler

    Günther Quandt'ın 1954 yılında hayatını kaybetmesinin ardından işleri oğlu Herbert Quandt devraldı.

    İş anlayışı konusunda babasının izinden giden Herbert'ın yolu, iflasın eşiğine gelmiş olan BMW şirketi ile bir noktada kesişti. Herbert, iflasın eşiğine kadar gelmiş bu şirketi satın aldı ve yaptığı devasa sermaye yatırımı ile BMW 1500 modelinin üretilmesini sağladı. Bu model, günümüzde gördüğümüz tüm o BMW modellerinin atası oldu ve markayı bugünlere getiren birçok dönüm noktasından biri haline geldi.
