    Giovanni Battista Viotti

    Giovanni Battista Viotti (1753-1824) - viyolonselci ve besteci.

    Fontaneto'da doğan çok ünlü Italyan viyolonselcisi. Gaetano Pugnani'nin öğrencisidir.

    Eski italyan keman okulunun en büyük ustasıdır. 29 keman konçertosu, 21 yaylı sazlar triosu, 51 keman düeti bırakmıştır. Eserleri bugün keman konserleri repertuvarına girmektedirler.

    Viotti öğretmen olarak da Fransız keman okulunun en tanınmış iki ismini, Pierre François ve Pierre Rode'yi yetiştirmiştir.
