    Genel bilgiler

    Gülten Akın - şair.

    23 Ocak 1933'te Yozgat'ta dünyaya gelen Gülten Akın, Ankara Üniversitesi Hukuk Fakültesi'nden mezun olmuş.

    1958-1972 arasında Anadolu’nun çeşitli ilçelerinde yaşamış. Hayatı boyunca yardımcı avukatlık, avukatlık ve öğretmenlik yapmış.

    İnsan Hakları Derneği, Halkevleri, Dil Derneği gibi örgütlerde kurucu ve yönetici olarak görev almış.

    İlk şiiri olan 'Çin Masalı' Nisan 1951'de Son Haber gazetesinde yayınlanmış.

    Şiirlerinin konusu daha çok doğa, aşk, ayrılık, özlem iken, ilerleyen dönemlerde daha toplumsal sorunlar olmuş.

    Şiirleri birçok dile çevrilirken bugün dahi dinlenen birçok besteye ilham olmuş. Bestelenen şiirlerinden biri, Sezen Aksu'nun 1993 tarihli albümüne adını veren 'Deli Kızın Türküsü'ymüş.

    Şair, çocukların özellikle toplumda yaşadığı zorluklara dikkat çekmiş, sevgiyi bütün şiirlerinde vurgulamış.

    4 Kasım 2015'te ölen Gülten Akın'ın şiirleri birçok ödüle layık görülmüş.

Tam her şey artık daha sakin olacak derken, iki sene sonra oğlunun başına gelenlerle sarsılır. Akın’ın oğlu, Ankara’da bir banka soygununa katıldığı gerekçesiyle tutuklanır ve dosyası Şentepe Devrimci Yol davasıyla birleştirilerek müebbet hapse çaptırılır. Sonra cezası yargıtayca bozulsa da, bu zor geçen yıllar annesinin şiirlerine de yansır. Gülten Akın, 42 Gün adlı kitabında Mamak Cezaevi’nde süren açlık grevini
