    Eliseo Subiela Arjantinli bir film yönetmeni, senarist ve oyun yazarıydı.

    27 Aralık 1944 tarihinde Buenos Aires, Arjantin'de doğan Subiela, benzersiz hikaye anlatma tarzı ve insanlık, aşk ve ruhsallıkla ilgili temaların keşfiyle en iyi bilinen isimdir.

    Kariyerine oyun yazarı olarak başlayan Subiela, birçok başarılı oyunun yazımını ve yönetimini yapmadan önce 1970'lerde sinemaya geçiş yapmıştır.

    Subiela, «Kalbin Koyu Yönü» (1992) adlı filmiyle uluslararası tanınırlık kazanmış ve bir kült klasik haline gelmiştir.
