    Birgit Fischer (d. 25 Şubat 1962, Brandenburg an der Havel, Doğu Almanya), Alman kanocudur.

    1980 ile 2004 arasında yarıştığı altı farklı olimpiyat oyununda sekiz kez altın ve üç gümüş madalya kazanmıştır.

    1980 ve 1988 olimpiyatlarında Doğu Almanya adına, 1992-2004 arasındaki olimpiyatlarda Almanya adına yarışmış olan Fischer, 1988-2004 yılları arasındaki beş olimpiyatta da altın madalya kazanmıştır.

    2004 Olimpiyatları'nda elde ettiği altın madalya ile, Olimpiyatlarda altın kazanan en yaşlı ve en genç sporcu oldu. Aynı zamanda, altı farklı Olimpiyatta altın madalya alan ilk kadın sporcu oldu.

    2004'te Almanya'da yılın kadın sporcusu seçildi.
