Leda Atomica — Atomik Leda (1949).
Ünlü ressam çoğu resminde eşi Gala’ya yer verir. Onun için bir saplantı haline geldiği söylenebilir. Resimde öne çıkan Leda figüründe Gala’nın yüzü resmedilmiş.
Eserin resmedildiği dönemde atom ve atom altı parçacıklarının keşfi söz konusuydu. Sanatçının ilgisini çeken bu konu, mitolojide adı geçen Leda efsanesi ve bilimin keşifleri harmanlanmış.
