    United States Postal Service (USPS), Amerika Birleşik Devletleri'nde posta hizmetleri sunan ve hükûmet tarafından yönetilen bağımsız bir kurumdur. 1775'te temelleri atılan kurum, 1971'de bugünkü yapısına kavuşmuştur.12

    Anayasa ile yetkilendirilmiş birkaç devlet kurumundan biridir ve posta yasalarına uygun şekilde hizmet vermekle yükümlüdür. Merkezi Washington, D.C.'de bulunur.13

    Finansmanını pul satışları ve hizmetlerden sağlar. Son yıllarda finansal zorluklar yaşayan kurum, devlet desteği talep etmiştir.24
