    Genel bilgiler

    Mauser (Mavzer) - Alman tüfek firması.

    1874 yılında, Prusya ordusu için tüfek üretmek amacıyla kurulmuştur. Üretilen ilk tüfek Mauser Model 1871 diğer adıyla Infanterie-Gewehr 71'dir. O dönemde Alman İmparatorluğu'nda standart piyade tüfeği haline gelmiştir.

    Firmanın ürettiği en meşhur tüfek, Wehrmacht'ın 1935'te envanterine dahil ettiği ve II. Dünya Savaşı'nda büyük rol oynamış Kar 98k adlı tüfektir.
