    Genel bilgiler

    Ulus Meydanı - Ankara'nın Altındağ ilçesinde bulunan bir kent meydanıdır. Anafartalar, Çankırı ve Cumhuriyet Caddesi ile Atatürk Bulvarı'nın kesişim noktasında yer alır.

    Cumhuriyet'in ilanından sonra hayata geçirilen imar uygulamaları doğrultusunda Ankara şehir merkezinde oluşturulmuş ilk modern kamusal mekan olmasıyla bilinir.

    Merkezinde konumlandırılmış olan Zafer Anıtı, Anıtkabir'in inşa edilmesine kadar geçen süreçte ülke genelinde kutlaması yapılan milli bayramların veya resmi devlet törenlerinin ana mekanı olmuştur.

    Meydanın çevresinde bulunan I. ve II. Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi binaları ile Türkiye İş Bankası ve Sümerbank'ın genel müdürlük yapıları; buranın geçmişte hem siyasi hem de iktisadi açıdan önemli bir merkez olduğunun göstergesidir.
