# Installation and update

## Technical requirements {#requirement}

The app is supported on devices with Android 9.0 or later.


## Install the app {#toinstall}

The Yandex Start app is free.

## Update the app {#toupdate}

The device's operating system automatically detects that the app has an update and installs it in the background. You can also update the Yandex Start app to the latest version manually:

1. Open **Google Play**.
1. In the top-right corner, tap your profile picture.
1. Select **Manage apps & device**.
1. Under **Updates available**, tap **See details**.
1. Find **Yandex Start** in the list and tap **Update**.

If Yandex Start isn't on the list or you see **All apps are up to date**, you have the latest version of the app installed.

## Delete the app {#dell}

You can't delete an app which was installed by the device manufacturer.

## Make default browser {#by-default}
