Pixel is a tool to work with your media advertising audience. Pixel collects anonymous_IDs of the users who have seen your banners. Use this data to set up targeting in Yandex Direct with the pixel-based segment. For example, you can show ads about your store's special offers to the users who have viewed the main page banner this month.

You can embed a pixel in advertisements that are served not only in the Yandex Advertising Network, but other advertising networks as well.

Creating and installing PixelCreating and installing Pixel

In Yandex Audience, go to , click Create pixel, and enter a name. The pixel code is generated.

In order for a pixel to start collecting anonymous cookies from users, insert its code into a banner using Yandex Direct. You can place the same pixel in any number of banners.

1. In Yandex Audience, in the pixel row, click the button and copy the pixel code.
2. In Yandex Direct, start creating or editing an ad group in a media campaign.
3. Choose the ad and paste the copied code in the Yandex Audience pixel field.

Managing the pixelManaging the pixel

To manage your pixels, click . You can create a pixel-based segment and rename or delete a pixel. Deleting is only possible if you delete all segments based on the pixel.

The pixel row shows its coverage in 7, 30, and 90 days. The pixel reach value is regularly and automatically updated if the pixel-based segment is used by at least one ad campaign in Yandex Direct. Otherwise, the pixel reach is not recalculated.

You can't grant access to the pixel for another user. You can use only your own pixels to create segments.
