Smart Camera

Smart Camera is a camera available in the Yandex app. It recognizes objects, tells you about them, and shows where you can buy them. Smart Camera can also recognize and translate text, scan documents, and compliment your photos.

To turn this feature on, use one of the following methods:

• On the home screen, tap in the SmartBox.
• Tap the SmartBox and select under the search queries.

The Smart Camera can operate in several modes:

• Document scanner
• QR code scanner
• Image search
• Text translation in the camera
• Text recognition
• Watermelon Picker
• Products
• Solutions

By default, the app always opens in Search by photo mode. To switch the Smart Camera mode, scroll down the list of modes at the bottom of the screen and select the one you need.

Settings

By default, the Smart Camera stores your image search history for 30 days from the date of the search.

You can clear the search history and disable its saving:

1. In the upper-right corner, tap → Search history.

2. Tap and select the necessary action:

   • Clear entire history — to delete the entire search history.

   • Save history — disable this option to stop saving your search history.
