Facilitating user behavior simulation
Simulation of user behavior is a way that webmasters promote their sites by trying to influence site ranking in search results. It usually involves special programs or web services that imitate user click-throughs from search engines.
However, this type of fraud sometimes uses normal internet users who are forced to imitate real click-throughs to a site from search results. For example, it may use a special captcha that users have to enter if they have used a specific search query and clicked the link to the site.
These types of page views don't improve the site's quality or value to users, so they are considered search spam. Likewise, sites that facilitate these page views are also considered search spam.
