# Translating websites


Yandex Translate automatically detects the source or target language. If this doesn't happen automatically, select the languages you need from the list. There are several ways to translate a website:

- Text mode

  1. At the top of the page, click **Text** and paste the link to the website in the input field.

  1. Click the link in the translation field. This displays the website translation.

- Site mode

  1. At the top of the page, click **Site** and paste the link to the website in the input field.

To view the original text, hover the mouse cursor over the desired fragment. To view the site's source text, select **Source** in the upper right corner. To view the translation, click **Translation**.


## Error in website translation {#error}

If you've found an error in the translation:

1. Hold the mouse cursor over the error. In the pop-up window, click **Suggest translation**.

1. Enter your translation.

1. Click **Send**.



The site translation option is also available on [translate.yandex.com](https://translate.yandex.com), in **Yandex with Alice**, or in any mobile browser.
