# Creating and configuring an issue filter
If you need something more advanced than the Tracker [standard filters](https://yandex.com.tr/support/tracker/en/user/default-filters.md), you can create your own filter to sort and search for issues by title, description, comments, field values, update dates, and other parameters. For example, you can use custom filters to find all issues in queues where you have the author or assignee status.
You can use your saved filters to pick issues for [dashboards](https://yandex.com.tr/support/tracker/en/user/dashboard.md) and a[gile boards](https://yandex.com.tr/support/tracker/en/manager/agile-create.md).
To save a filtered issue list to a file or copy it to your clipboard, click **Export** in the top right corner and select your desired format. For more information, see [Create a report from an issue list](https://yandex.com.tr/support/tracker/en/user/reports.md).
## Creating a filter {#create}
#### Step 1. Open the issue list {#open-tasks}
The open all the issues that are available to you in Tracker:
* On the left panel, open **Issues** and click **All issues** at the bottom of the window.
* or follow the [direct link](https://tracker.yandex.com/issues).
#### Step 2. Set up the layout for the issue list {#customize-view}
- If you want to hide or display certain issue fields, click **Settings**, select the fields, and click **Apply**.
- To group issues by a certain field, click **No grouping** above the list and select the desired field.
- To sort the issue list by a parameter, click the parameter name in the column header or select the corresponding sorting option next to the icon above the list.
- To collapse the panel with the filter list, in the upper-right corner, click **Parameters**.
#### Step 3. Add filtering conditions {#set-conditions}
There are several ways to set the filter conditions.
- **Searching by parameters**
1. In the upper-right corner of the page, click **Parameters**. A panel with the specified filtering parameters will be shown under the search bar.
1. Click the icon **Add a field for filtering**.

1. Select an issue parameter, then set its value and click **Save**
1. If you need to refine the search conditions, add more parameters.
1. To search for issues by name, use the **Search by issue name** field.
You can use this field only for issue search by name. To find an issue by key, use **Search** in the left panel. For more information, see [Finding issues by key or name](https://yandex.com.tr/support/tracker/en/user/search-task.md).
1. To display only completed issues, only incomplete issues, or all issues that match your filter, click **Issues: Not completed** in the left corner and select the option you need.
1. You can reset the search parameters by clicking **Reset** above the issue list.
For example, you can search issues by their name or description.
* To find issues that contain a particular phrase in their name, add the **Issue** parameter to your search and enter the text to search for.
* To find issues that contain a particular phrase in their description, add the **Description** parameter to your search and enter the text to search for.

#### Step 4. Save a filter {#save-filter}
If you often use a filter, save it. Your saved filters will be available in the **All issues** checkbox in the **My** section.
1. Click **Save** above the issue list.
1. Set the filter name and select a category to save it with.
1. Click **Save**.

## Editing a filter {#edit}
#### Changing filter parameters
1. In the upper part of the window, in the **All issues** field, select your filter.
1. [Change the issue search criteria](#set-conditions) using quick filters, parameters, or the query language.
1. Click **Save** above the issue list:
* To save the filter with the current name, click **Save**.
* To save the filter with a different name, click **Save as new**. Then enter the filter name, select the category, and click **Save**.
#### Remove a filter {#delete}
1. In the upper part of the window, in the **All issues** field, select your filter.
1. Delete your filter using one of these methods:
* To the right of the filter name, click **Delete**.
* Click **title** in the top right corner of the page and select **Delete**.
## Configure permissions for a filter {#access}

Access rights for a filter can be changed by the filter owner or any user who has permission to configure the access rights.

Filters that are used by large teams can form cascades — for example, if a filter is created based on an existing one using the `"Filter"` [parameter](https://yandex.com.tr/support/tracker/en/user/query-filter.md#filter-parameters).
To avoid unwanted changes to the saved filter, you can restrict editing to certain users or groups:
1. In the upper part of the window, in the **All issues** field, select your filter.
1. To the right of the filter name, click → **Set up access**.
1. Add users or groups who will have access to the filter.
1. Select the actions that you want to allow the user or group:
- **View**: Users can open the filter by clicking the link.
- **Edit**: Users can edit the filter and save the changes.
- **Configure access**: Users can remove the filter and manage access settings for other users.
1. To remove a user or group from the list, click on the right.
1. Click **Save**. If the user has access rights to the filter, they'll see it in their list of saved filters in the **All issues** selection field in the **Common** section.
#### Change the filter owner {#change-owner}

The filter owner can only be changed by the current owner.

1. In the upper part of the window, in the **All issues** field, select your filter.
1. In the upper-right corner, click → **Set up access**.
1. In the settings window to the right of the current owner's name, click and specify the new owner.
1. Click **Save**.

# Finding my issues
To find the issues you're working on, use the _system filters_ preset. The filters return the lists of issues where you were specified as an assignee, author, or in other roles. To search for issues in the list, use system filters or add search criteria.

## Using system filters {#standart-filters}
Find your issues using preset filters.
1. Go to the page with the issue list. To do this, open **Issues** in the left panel or follow the [link](https://tracker.yandex.com/issues).
1. Select a filter from the list at the top of the page:
* **Favorite issues**: Issues that you added to Favorites. To learn more, see [Adding an issue to Favorites](https://yandex.com.tr/support/tracker/en/user/favourites.md#task-fav).
* **All my issues**: Issues where you are the author or assignee, where you were mentioned in a comment, and your favorite issues.
* **Created by me**: Issues that you created.
* **Assigned to me**: Issues where you are the assignee.
* **Followed by me**: Issues where you are on the follower list.
* **Needs response**: Issues where you were summoned. To learn more, see [Inviting to comment](https://yandex.com.tr/support/tracker/en/user/comments.md#call-comment).
* **Deadline approaching**: Issues that list you as the author, assignee, or follower and where:
* Deadlines have passed in the last two weeks.
* The deadline will be due within a month.
1. To open the issue list in a new tab, click **Full list of filtered issues**.
## Customizing the list appearance {#list-view}
- If you want to hide or display certain issue fields, click **Settings**, select the fields, and click **Apply**.
- To group issues by a certain field, click **No grouping** above the list and select the desired field.
- To sort the issue list by a parameter, click the parameter name in the column header or select the corresponding sorting option next to the icon above the list.
- To collapse the panel with the filter list, in the upper-right corner, click **Parameters**.
- To use the advanced search parameters, click **Add a field for filtering** and select a field. To learn more, see [Adding search parameters](#add-condition).

### Query language {#query}
If you cannot set search conditions using the issue parameters, use the request:
1. Click **Query language** in the upper-right corner. All the search parameters that you set by quick filters and conditions, will be shown in the search bar.
1. Use the query language to add parameters. To learn more, see [Query language in Yandex Tracker](https://yandex.com.tr/support/tracker/en/user/query-filter.md).
1. Click **Apply**.
Any issues that don't meet your criteria are filtered out of the list.
