# How to create a dashboard and add widgets
A dashboard is a page where you gather issues, metrics, and other important data. It helps you keep track of information in one place instead of searching for it in different sections of Tracker. {#about-dash}
You can create an empty dashboard and add widgets to it, or copy a ready-made dashboard and adapt it to your needs.
## Creating an empty dashboard {#new}
1. In the left panel, click **Dashboards and reports** → **Create** and select **Dashboard**.
1. Enter a name and click **Create** again.
The new dashboard opens.
1. Set up widgets from scratch or copy them from another dashboard. See below for details.

## Creating a widget {#add-widgets}
1. In the upper-right corner, click **Edit**.
1. Then click **Add** and select a widget.

1. Fill in the widget parameters and click **Add** again.

1. When you're done, click **Save**.

## Copying a widget {#copy-widget}
You can copy a widget to the same dashboard or select another one. You need "Edit" access for both dashboards. [How to set up access](https://yandex.com.tr/support/tracker/en/user/share-dashboard.md)
1. Open the dashboard with the source widget. Don't switch to editing mode.
1. At the top of the widget, click → **Duplicate**.
1. Select where to create the copy:
- **Current dashboard**.
- **Another dashboard** — start typing its name.
1. To delete the source widget after copying it to another dashboard, enable the **Delete from current dashboard** option.
1. Enter a name for the new widget and click **Duplicate**.

## Copying an entire dashboard {#copy}
You can copy any dashboard you have access to. The widget settings are copied as well.
1. Open your dashboard or a coworker's dashboard. [How to find someone else's dashboard](https://yandex.com.tr/support/tracker/en/user/search-dashboard.md)
1. At the top, click → **Create copy**.
1. Enter a name and click **Save**.
The new dashboard opens. To make changes, click **Edit** in the upper-right corner.

## Deleting a dashboard {#delete}
Only the dashboard owner can delete it. [Change the dashboard owner](https://yandex.com.tr/support/tracker/en/user/share-dashboard.md#change-owner)
At the top of the dashboard, click → **Delete**. Confirm the action.
The dashboard can't be restored.
