# Edit a goal in the Tracker mobile app

In the app, you can change goal parameters, add metrics, key results and subgoals, and create links.

To start editing a goal, open the goal list and select it.

## Change basic parameters {#param}

- To change the name, tap it and edit the text.

- To change the description, go to **About the goal** and tap **Edit** at the bottom.

- To change the status, deadline, or owner of the goal, go to **Parameters**, tap the current value, and select a new one.

## Add a metric {#add-metric}

To attach a widget to a goal:


1. Open the desktop version of Tracker, select a widget on the dashboard, and in the upper-right corner click ![](../_assets/svg/actions.svg)</svg> → ![](../_assets/svg/iframe.svg)</svg> **Copy link for iframe**.


1. Open the goal in the mobile app.

1. At the top, click ![](../_assets/svg/actions.svg)</svg> and under **Add**, select **Metric**.

1. Specify the metric name. Below, paste the link to the widget.

1. Click **Add**.

## Add key results and subgoals {#progress}

To add a key result or subgoal:

1. Go to **Progress**.
1. At the bottom, click **Add**.
1. Select ![](../_assets/svg/key-result.svg)</svg> **Key result** or ![](../_assets/svg/goals.svg)</svg> **Subgoal**.
    - To create a key result, set the parameters as described on the [How to track goal progress](https://yandex.com.tr/support/tracker/en/goals/goals-settings.md#key-results) page.
    - To create a subgoal, select an existing goal or create a new one.

## Create a link {#create-link}

To create a new link:

1. Go to **Links**.

1. At the bottom, click **Link**.

1. Select an object:

    - ![](../_assets/svg/portfolio.svg)</svg> **With portfolio**
    - ![](../_assets/svg/goals.svg)</svg> **With goal**

1. Create a new object or add an existing one:

    - New

        1. Stay on the **New** tab, enter the name and description of the new object. You can change them later.

        1. Set the deadline.

        1. If you're adding a goal, select the link type.

        1. At the bottom, click **Create**.

            The new object page opens.

    - Existing

        1. If the object already exists, go to the **Existing** tab.

        1. Select an object from the list.

        1. If you're adding a goal, select the link type.

        1. At the bottom, click **Add**.

To delete a link, click ![](../_assets/svg/actions.svg)</svg> on the right and select **Delete**.

## Add a file {#file}

To add a file, go to **Files** and click **Add file** at the bottom.

To delete a file, click ![](../_assets/svg/actions.svg)</svg> on the right and select **Delete**.

## Sending comments in the Updates section {#comments}

In the **Updates** section, you can add comments and reply to other users' comments.

To change the goal status when sending a comment, select a new status above the editing area.
