How to update a portfolio status
We recommend keeping the portfolio status up to date and periodically adding comments about the work progress.
Changing the status
To update the status, change the value of the Status field in the right panel.
Available statuses
- New — the portfolio has been created, but work hasn't started yet.
- In progress — work on the portfolio's projects is underway.
- Complete — work on the portfolio's projects has been completed successfully.
- Postponed — the portfolio's projects are currently not relevant, and work has stopped.
- At risk — the projects may exceed their deadlines, or the results may differ from what's expected.
- Blocked — work on the projects is on hold, and achieving the result depends on external circumstances.
- Planned — the projects' progress is in line with the planned schedule.
- Draft — a preliminary version of the portfolio.
- Canceled — work on the portfolio's projects has stopped.
Adding a comment

On the portfolio page, open the Updates tab.

Write your comment in the editing area.
In the comments section, you can use text markup and attach images and files.

To change the goal status when sending a comment, select a new status above the editing area.

To invite other users to discuss the portfolio:

Enter the login or name of the user you want to invite to the comments. To add another user, click Invite again.
You can set up notifications for summons in comments. For more information, see Setting up subscriptions.

Click Submit.
To change the order of comments, click New comments first or Old comments first at the top right of the editing area.
Replying to a comment

Hover over the comment and click Reply. The comment you are replying to will be quoted in the response.
To quote just a part of a comment in your reply, select the text and click Reply. Only the text you've selected will be quoted.

Enter your response in the comment box.

Click Send.
If a comment includes a quote, you can jump to the original comment by clicking Reply. To do this, click the quoted text.

Adding a summary comment for projects
In a portfolio, you can generate an automatic comment that gathers updates from all nested portfolios and projects:

On the Updates tab, click Portfolio summary above the editing area.
A new comment appears in the editing area, containing a list of nested projects and portfolios. For each project and portfolio, its status, date, and the text of the latest comment are shown.
The portfolio summary comment won't include:
- comments added more than a month ago;
- replies to previous comments in nested projects and portfolios.

If necessary, edit the text of the summary comment.
In the comments section, you can use text markup and attach images and files.
