How to find projects in Tracker

Find my projects

Projects you work with are collected in the Projects and portfolios section in the left panel.

To make the list easier to navigate, we added filters:

  • My projects and portfolios — projects or portfolios where you are the author, owner, participant, or client.

  • I'm author, I'm owner, I'm a participant, or I'm a client — projects or portfolios where you have the corresponding role.

  • Favorites — projects or portfolios that you marked with the icon.

  • Recently viewed — projects or portfolios that you opened most recently.

Find projects by any parameters

You can use the filter to set any criteria, for example, find all projects canceled in the first quarter of the year. The latest search conditions you configured will be applied the next time you open the projects page.

Step 1. Open the list of projects and portfolios

In the left panel, click Projects and portfolios → Show all or follow the link https://tracker.yandex.com/pages/projects .

Step 2. Add search conditions

  1. Click Add a field for filtering.

  2. Select a parameter to search by, set its value, and click Apply.

  3. To find an employee's projects and portfolios, select the Participant or owner parameter, specify the employee, and click Apply. The results will show projects and portfolios where they participate or are listed as the owner.

  4. To search among your projects, select a preset filter, for example My projects and portfolios .

  5. If you made a mistake or changed your mind, clear the search conditions:

    • To remove one parameter from the search conditions, click to the right of it.
    • To remove all search conditions you configured, click Reset.

When you click a project, it will open in a new window by default. To open projects in the side panel, click Settings in the left panel, and under Interface select Open issues → In the side panel.

How to work with the search results list

If a project has related goals, a Goals button appears next to the project name. Click it to view the list of links.

Changing project parameters

You can change the owner or date (for example, Deadline) directly in the search results list. To do this, click the current parameter value and select a new one from the drop-down list.

Changing table columns

The list of projects and portfolios is presented as a table with parameters, such as Status, Progress, and Author. You can add parameter columns to the table or remove unnecessary ones:

You can customize the list with search results: sort or group issues, select columns with parameters. For more information, see How to configure the issue search results list.

Open the issue list with extended search capabilities: click  Issues → Show all or go to https://tracker.yandex.com/issues .

To search by a local field of a specific queue, enter the queue key and a dot before the field name (for example, DEVS.Tester). For more information about local fields, see Local issue fields.

Sorting the list of projects

To set a list sorting parameter (for example, by deadline in descending order), use the button at the top of the page:

  • On the search parameters panel, click Sorting and select a parameter.
  • To change the sorting direction (descending or ascending), click the icon that appears after you select a parameter.

You can quickly sort the list by a table parameter: hover over a column and click the icon .

Grouping the list of projects

Projects in search results can be divided into groups, for example, by owner. To do this, click No grouping at the top and select a grouping parameter from the drop-down list.

Changing the project list view

To select the view in which the list will be displayed, click one of the tabs at the top of the page:

  • Structure — a tree-like list where portfolios and projects are nested in higher-level portfolios. The page displays only those portfolios that are not nested in any other portfolio. To see portfolios and projects nested in them, expand the portfolio.

  • List — a flat list where portfolios and projects are not related to each other.

  • Gantt — a Gantt chart where portfolios, projects, and issues within them are displayed as a schedule.

In the Structure or Gantt views, sorting applies only to top-level portfolios. The order of nested projects and portfolios is set manually. This way, you can establish a stable structure for your company's direction.

Bulk editing projects

Project lists support bulk editing operations that let you apply the same changes to multiple projects and portfolios at once. To do this:

  1. In the left panel, select Projects and open one of the lists:

    • Full list of my projects;
    • Show all.
  2. Go to the List or Structure tab.

  3. Check the box next to the portfolios and projects you want to change.

To select all portfolios and projects in the list at once, check the box above the list.

  4. Under the list of portfolios and projects, select the required operation:

    • Change status — select a status from the list.
    • Assign owner — enter a login or name in the search bar and select a user.
    • Move to portfolio — in the window that opens, select an existing portfolio or create a new one by going to the appropriate tab. If one or more of the selected projects and portfolios are already contained in another portfolio, after the operation they will be removed from the previous portfolio and added to the newly selected one.
    • → Edit parameters — in the window that opens, change the required parameters and click Apply. If the required fields are not in the list, add them using the Edit parameter list button.
    • → Delete — to delete the selected projects and portfolios.
  5. After the operation, a notification will appear in the bottom-right corner showing the number of portfolios and projects for which the changes were successfully applied.
