# How to add issues to a board

You can add issues to a board manually or configure automatic issue addition based on parameters: [How to add issues automatically](#autoadd).

If you add an issue to a simple board, it will be placed in the column matching the issue status or in the column with unsorted issues: [How to configure columns](https://yandex.com.tr/support/tracker/en/manager/agile-columns.md). If you add an issue to a board with a backlog, it will go to the backlog: [How to use a backlog](https://yandex.com.tr/support/tracker/en/manager/backlog.md).

<!-- source: en/_includes/agile-issue-limit.md -->
{% note warning "" %}

You can add no more than 2000 issues per board.

## How to add issues manually {#add-task}

To add an existing issue to a board, you can find it by name or fill in the **Boards** field on the issue page.

You can also create a new issue right on the board: [How to create an issue on a board](#create-task).

### From the board page {#from-board}

1. In the left panel, select <svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" width="18" height="18" class="g-icon gn-composite-bar-item__icon" fill="currentColor" stroke="none" aria-hidden="true"><svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" fill="none" viewBox="0 0 16 16"><path fill="currentColor" fill-rule="evenodd" d="M1.75 2a.75.75 0 0 0 0 1.5h12.5a.75.75 0 0 0 0-1.5H1.75ZM5.5 6.5H4a.5.5 0 0 0-.5.5v5.5a.5.5 0 0 0 .5.5h1.5a.5.5 0 0 0 .5-.5V7a.5.5 0 0 0-.5-.5ZM4 5a2 2 0 0 0-2 2v5.5a2 2 0 0 0 2 2h1.5a2 2 0 0 0 2-2V7a2 2 0 0 0-2-2H4Zm8 1.5h-1.5a.5.5 0 0 0-.5.5v2a.5.5 0 0 0 .5.5H12a.5.5 0 0 0 .5-.5V7a.5.5 0 0 0-.5-.5ZM10.5 5a2 2 0 0 0-2 2v2a2 2 0 0 0 2 2H12a2 2 0 0 0 2-2V7a2 2 0 0 0-2-2h-1.5Z" clip-rule="evenodd"/></svg></svg> **Issue boards**, then select the desired board from the list.

   If there is no **Boards** field, add it using the **Edit parameter list** button.

   {% note info %}

   An issue will also be added to the board if you specify the name of a sprint on your board in the **Sprint** field. [How to use sprints](https://yandex.com.tr/support/tracker/en/manager/create-agile-sprint.md).

   {% endnote %}

### How to add multiple issues {#from-bulk}

You can add multiple issues to a board at once by selecting them on the queue page or in an issue filter: [How to search for issues](https://yandex.com.tr/support/tracker/en/user/default-filters.md).

1. Open the queue page or [the issue search page <svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" width="16" height="16" class="g-icon" fill="currentColor" stroke="none" aria-hidden="true"><svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" fill="none" viewBox="0 0 16 16"><path fill="currentColor" fill-rule="evenodd" d="M10 1.5A.75.75 0 0 0 10 3h1.94L6.97 7.97a.75.75 0 0 0 1.06 1.06L13 4.06V6a.75.75 0 0 0 1.5 0V2.25a.75.75 0 0 0-.75-.75H10ZM7.5 3.25a.75.75 0 0 0-.75-.75H4.5a3 3 0 0 0-3 3v6a3 3 0 0 0 3 3h6a3 3 0 0 0 3-3V9.25a.75.75 0 0 0-1.5 0v2.25a1.5 1.5 0 0 1-1.5 1.5h-6A1.5 1.5 0 0 1 3 11.5v-6A1.5 1.5 0 0 1 4.5 4h2.25a.75.75 0 0 0 .75-.75Z" clip-rule="evenodd"/></svg></svg>](https://tracker.yandex.com/issues).

1. Search for the desired board by name and click **Apply**.

## How to create an issue on a board {#create-task}

You can create a new issue directly on a board. All you need to do is enter the name and specify the queue — you can fill in other fields later.

1. In the left panel, click <svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" width="18" height="18" class="g-icon gn-composite-bar-item__icon" fill="currentColor" stroke="none" aria-hidden="true"><svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" fill="none" viewBox="0 0 16 16"><path fill="currentColor" fill-rule="evenodd" d="M1.75 2a.75.75 0 0 0 0 1.5h12.5a.75.75 0 0 0 0-1.5H1.75ZM5.5 6.5H4a.5.5 0 0 0-.5.5v5.5a.5.5 0 0 0 .5.5h1.5a.5.5 0 0 0 .5-.5V7a.5.5 0 0 0-.5-.5ZM4 5a2 2 0 0 0-2 2v5.5a2 2 0 0 0 2 2h1.5a2 2 0 0 0 2-2V7a2 2 0 0 0-2-2H4Zm8 1.5h-1.5a.5.5 0 0 0-.5.5v2a.5.5 0 0 0 .5.5H12a.5.5 0 0 0 .5-.5V7a.5.5 0 0 0-.5-.5ZM10.5 5a2 2 0 0 0-2 2v2a2 2 0 0 0 2 2H12a2 2 0 0 0 2-2V7a2 2 0 0 0-2-2h-1.5Z" clip-rule="evenodd"/></svg></svg> **Issue boards** and select a board.

1. In the leftmost column, click the <svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" width="10" height="10" fill="currentColor" aria-hidden="true" class="yc-icon"><svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" fill="none" viewBox="0 0 14 14"><path fill="currentColor" fill-rule="evenodd" d="M7.873 13.125a.875.875 0 1 1-1.75 0V7.87H.875a.875.875 0 0 1 0-1.75h5.248V.874a.875.875 0 1 1 1.75 0V6.12h5.249a.875.875 0 0 1 0 1.751H7.873v5.255z" clip-rule="evenodd"/></svg></svg> icon and select **New issue**.

1. Enter the issue name.

1. From the drop-down list, select the queue in which the issue will be created.

    <!-- source: en/_includes/only-forms.md -->
    {% note info "" %}

    If you can create an issue in the queue [only using a form](https://yandex.com.tr/support/tracker/en/user/forms-template.md#new-task-page), you'll see the **Select form** button on the screen.

    {% endnote %}
    <!-- endsource: en/_includes/only-forms.md -->

1. Click **Create** or press **Enter**.

## How to configure automatic issue addition {#autoadd}

If you need to add issues with specified parameters to a board, for example all issues from a queue with a specific assignee, set up a [filter](*filter) for automatic issue addition:

1. In the top right corner of the board, click the <svg width="24" height="24" viewBox="0 0 24 24" fill="none" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg"><path d="M14.0703 2L15.0332 5.08984C15.6125 5.33197 16.1614 5.63745 16.6689 6L19.9297 5.26953L22 8.73047L19.7021 11.0898C19.7746 11.6945 19.7746 12.3055 19.7021 12.9102L22 15.2695L19.9297 18.7305L16.6689 17.9902C16.164 18.3538 15.6144 18.6555 15.0332 18.8896L14.0703 22H9.92969L8.9668 18.9102C8.38748 18.668 7.83857 18.3626 7.33105 18L4.07031 18.7305L2 15.2695L4.29785 12.9102C4.22536 12.3055 4.22536 11.6945 4.29785 11.0898L2 8.73047L4.07031 5.26953L7.33105 6C7.83654 5.63997 8.38609 5.34138 8.9668 5.11035L9.92969 2H14.0703ZM13.585 8.30469C12.8284 8.00196 11.9956 7.92285 11.1924 8.07715C10.3891 8.23149 9.65137 8.61246 9.07227 9.17188C8.49318 9.73128 8.09825 10.4438 7.93848 11.2197C7.77876 11.9955 7.86151 12.7995 8.1748 13.5303C8.4882 14.2612 9.0183 14.8866 9.69922 15.3262C10.3802 15.7657 11.181 16 12 16C13.0982 16 14.1512 15.5783 14.9277 14.8281C15.7043 14.078 16.1406 13.0609 16.1406 12C16.1406 11.2089 15.8984 10.4351 15.4434 9.77734C14.9884 9.11968 14.3414 8.60745 13.585 8.30469Z" fill="#34343C"/></svg> **Settings** button. The **Automatic addition and removal of issues** page opens.

1. Under **Adding issues to the board**, click **+ Add parameters**. Select a parameter from the list and specify its value.

     For example, to add all issues where you are the assignee to the board, select the **Assignee** parameter and set it to **Me**. To add more parameters, repeat this step.

     {% note tip "" %}

     To find a [local field of a specific queue](https://yandex.com.tr/support/tracker/en/local-fields.md), before the field name, type the queue key and a period (for example, `DEVS.Tester`).

     {% endnote %}

1. Click **Save**.

When saving the filter, the issues that meet the specified conditions will be added to the board, except for:

- Issues that cannot be edited by the user who set up the filter.
- Issues already added to the board.
- Issues that meet the conditions for automatic removal from the board.
- Issues that were previously added to the board automatically but were later removed manually.

Subsequently, all issues that meet the filter parameters will be added to the board, ignoring the listed exceptions.

## Automatically remove issues from the board {#autodelete}

To prevent a board from getting overloaded when it reaches the limit of 2000 issues, you can configure automatic removal of issues from the board. For example, to remove all closed issues or issues that were closed several months ago.

1. The **Automatic addition and removal of issues** page opens.

1. Under **Removal of issues from the board**, specify the statuses that will be the condition for removing issues from the board.

1. Specify the duration an issue must remain in the specified statuses before it is removed from the board.

Once an issue moves to one of the specified statuses and stays in it for the specified time, it will be removed from the board.

[*queue]: A queue is a space for issues related to a single process, product, team, or department. A queue helps you store issues in one place and manage work according to common rules. [How to create a queue](https://yandex.com.tr/support/tracker/en/quick-start/setup-for-team/create-queue.md)

[*filter]: A filter is a tool for searching for issues by conditions. For example, you can find issues in a specific queue where you are the author or assignee. [How to set up an issue filter](../user/create-filter)
