Working with issues on a board
A board helps you see what stage each issue is at and how much work is left.
Issues that haven't been started yet are in the left column. When work begins, the issue is moved to the right. The far right column usually means that work on the issue is complete.
Moving an issue to the next stage
When work on an issue moves to the next stage, drag the issue to the next column — its status will change automatically.
An issue may not move if the transition between statuses is not available according to the workflow rules. For example, if an issue cannot be closed without going through the Approval status. How to configure transitions between statuses
Changing the order of issues in a column
To show issue priority, move issues up or down within a column.
To avoid dragging issues manually, you can enable automatic sorting. Filter, group, and sort issues on a board
Moving an issue to another sprint
In the issue, click → Add to sprint and select the desired sprint.
Sprints are not available on a basic board: you need to switch to a board with a backlog and sprints. Agile tools on boards with backlog and sprints
Removing an issue from the board
In the upper-right corner of the issue, click the icon and select Remove from board.
If you remove an issue from a project board, the issue will also be removed from the project's issue list. What is a project board
A project is a set of issues from different queues where work is being done towards a common result. This could be launching a mobile app or redesigning a website's homepage.
A project helps you track: how many issues are done, how many are left, and whether the team is meeting deadlines.
