# Barcode scanner

Barcodes store product details in a series of black and white bars.

Use the Smart Camera in the Yandex app to find a product by its barcode and view stores where you can buy it.

   Open the Yandex app and tap ![](../_assets/smart-camera.svg) in the [SmartBox](https://yandex.com.tr/support/m-yandex/en/app/search.md#search).

1. Select one of the options:
    - Point the camera at the barcode.
    - Select an image from the photo gallery (in the lower-left corner, tap the round icon with a thumbnail of the latest photo).

1. The app will frame the recognized barcode. Tap the dot that the app has marked the barcode with.

1. Go to the **Products** tab. 

1. Tap **Search for product** to see a photo (if available) and details about the product.

1. Tap **Find in stores**, and the app will show you where to buy it online.
