# Play the game

{% note alert "Attention" %}

The points you get in the game are virtual. You can't sell, exchange, or withdraw them to your bank card.

{% endnote %}

To start the game, just click its thumbnail.

Sometimes, you need to set up the game first: for example, choose a language. If the game has a complicated interface, you are given instructions and hints at the start.

## Saving achievements {#progress}

{% note info "Note" %}

Game developers decide when and how users' game progress is saved.

{% endnote %}

There are two ways in-game achievements are saved:

- **Locally**, in your browser cache. If you close the game, tab, or browser, or clear the [cache](https://yandex.com/support/common/browsers-settings/cache.html), all progress may be deleted.
- **On the server**, in your Yandex account. To save your progress, log in to Yandex Games using your [Yandex ID](https://passport.yandex.com/profile).

How to find out where achievements are stored in the game:

1. Open the game.
1. Click **Learn more about the game**.
1. Under **Game info**, check the **Authorization support** field:

    - **No**. Achievements are stored locally.
    - **Yes**. Achievements can be stored on the server or locally.

    {% note alert "Attention" %}

    If you log out of your account, your progress will be stored locally even if the game supports authorization. Make sure you're logged in to your Yandex account every time before you start playing.

    {% endnote %}
