# Conducting a test

You can use Forms to make a test or quiz. You can test people's knowledge on some topic or make a humorous quiz that can be shared on social media. Users earn points for correct answers and can see their score after finishing the test.

## Adding questions for a test {#test-questions}

To create a test, add question blocks from the **Tests and quizzes** category to your form:

1. Create a new form or open an existing one.
1. In the form builder, create a test question using one of the following methods:

    - In the **Form builder** tab, click **Show all questions** and select a question from the **Test (Quiz)** column.

    - Create a simple question for the test, then click <svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" width="16" height="16" fill="currentColor" aria-hidden="true" class="yc-icon"><svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" fill="none" viewBox="0 0 16 16"><path fill="currentColor" fill-rule="evenodd" d="M11 13.5H5A1.5 1.5 0 0 1 3.5 12V4A1.5 1.5 0 0 1 5 2.5h2.757a1.5 1.5 0 0 1 1.061.44l3.243 3.242a1.5 1.5 0 0 1 .439 1.06V12a1.5 1.5 0 0 1-1.5 1.5Zm2.121-8.379A3 3 0 0 1 14 7.243V12a3 3 0 0 1-3 3H5a3 3 0 0 1-3-3V4a3 3 0 0 1 3-3h2.757a3 3 0 0 1 2.122.879L13.12 5.12ZM10.85 7.65a.75.75 0 1 0-1.2-.9L7.469 9.658 6.28 8.47a.75.75 0 0 0-1.06 1.06l1.8 1.8a.75.75 0 0 0 1.13-.08l2.7-3.6Z" clip-rule="evenodd"/></svg></svg> **Score** under **Answer**. For a list of suitable question types, see [Tests and quizzes](https://yandex.com.tr/support/forms/en/blocks-ref/tests.md).

1. Specify the question parameters:

    - Enter your question. If needed, add a comment or attach an image.

    - For the **One answer** and **Multiple answers** question types, set the answer options. For other question types, specify the correct answer.

    - Specify how many points users should get for answering correctly.

         {% note info "" %}

        The **One answer** and **Multiple answers** question types can have multiple correct answers. The user receives points only if they select all the correct answers and don't pick any incorrect ones.

        {% endnote %}

    - Under **Settings**, configure answer validation or sorting if needed.

        For more information about configuring question parameters, see [Add questions to a form](https://yandex.com.tr/support/forms/en/add-questions.md).

1. Add other questions to your form by following the same steps.

1. To change the position of a question or an answer option, drag it with <svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" width="16" height="16" class="g-icon" fill="currentColor" stroke="none" aria-hidden="true"><svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" fill="none" viewBox="0 0 16 16"><path fill="currentColor" fill-rule="evenodd" d="M7 3a1.5 1.5 0 1 1-3 0 1.5 1.5 0 0 1 3 0ZM5.5 9.5a1.5 1.5 0 1 0 0-3 1.5 1.5 0 0 0 0 3Zm5 0a1.5 1.5 0 1 0 0-3 1.5 1.5 0 0 0 0 3Zm0-5a1.5 1.5 0 1 0 0-3 1.5 1.5 0 0 0 0 3ZM7 13a1.5 1.5 0 1 1-3 0 1.5 1.5 0 0 1 3 0Zm3.5 1.5a1.5 1.5 0 1 0 0-3 1.5 1.5 0 0 0 0 3Z" clip-rule="evenodd"/></svg></svg>.

1. Set up rules for scoring the test.

1. Publish your test using one of the following methods: [Publishing a form](https://yandex.com.tr/support/forms/en/publish.md).

## Setting up scoring {#test-result}

After the user completes the test, you can show them their scored points and results. You can calculate test results using one of the following methods:

- Two-level: Pass or fail.

- Multi-level: Results labeled in segments. For example: <q>professional</q>, <q>amateur</q>, and <q>beginner</q>.

To set up rules for scoring:

1. Select a form and go to **Settings** → **Tests and quizzes**.

1. Enable **Show test results** ![](_assets/enabled-switch-blue.png).

    Note: If you show test results, you can't [redirect users to a website](https://yandex.com.tr/support/forms/en/success-page.md#redirect) or [display a message](https://yandex.com.tr/support/forms/en/success-page.md#message) when they submit the form.

1. Select the scoring method:

    - **Segments**: For multi-level scoring. If you select this option, set the number of segments (scoring levels). The number of points that corresponds to each segment is determined automatically.

    - **Pass/Fail**: For two-level scoring. If you select this option, specify the minimum number of points that constitutes a passing score.

1. Enter a message to display to the user for each assessment:

    - Specify a header like <q>You're an avid traveler!</q>

    - Write a comment. For example, suggest materials that the user can read to improve their result. To format the text of a comment, use [Markdown markup](https://yandex.com.tr/support/forms/en/appearance.md#text-formatting).

    - To add a picture to an answer option, click <svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" width="16" height="16" fill="currentColor" aria-hidden="true" class="yc-icon"><svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" fill="none" viewBox="0 0 16 16"><path fill="currentColor" fill-rule="evenodd" d="M11.5 3h-7A1.5 1.5 0 0 0 3 4.5v5.027l.962-.7a1.75 1.75 0 0 1 2.079.016l.928.696 2.368-2.03a1.75 1.75 0 0 1 2.325.043L13 8.787V4.5A1.5 1.5 0 0 0 11.5 3m3 7.498V4.5a3 3 0 0 0-3-3h-7a3 3 0 0 0-3 3v7a3 3 0 0 0 3 3h7a3 3 0 0 0 3-3zm-1.5.33-2.355-2.174a.25.25 0 0 0-.332-.006L7.488 11.07l-.457.392-.481-.361-1.41-1.057a.25.25 0 0 0-.296-.002L3 11.381v.119A1.5 1.5 0 0 0 4.5 13h7a1.5 1.5 0 0 0 1.5-1.5zM7.5 6a1.5 1.5 0 1 1-3 0 1.5 1.5 0 0 1 3 0" clip-rule="evenodd"/></svg></svg> **Add an image**.

## Show correct and incorrect answers {#show-right-answ}

Once the user completes the test, you can show them which answers were right or wrong:

1. Select a form and go to **Settings** → **Tests and quizzes**.

1. Enable **Show test results** ![](_assets/enabled-switch-blue.png).

1. Enable **Show correct and incorrect answers** ![](_assets/enabled-switch-blue.png).

1. Click **Save**.

After completing the test, users can click **See correct answers**. This opens a page showing the user's score, with correct and incorrect answers highlighted.

## View user answers {#right-answ-separately}

When the test is submitted, you can see which questions were answered correctly and which were wrong in the [**Answers**](https://yandex.com.tr/support/forms/en/answers.md) tab.
