Manual bid management allows you to control all ad indicators and independently set bids based on how effective you think your impression criteria will be in your ad campaign.

You can configure a strategy in the strategy settings, and set bids for targeting criteria on the campaign page. The maximum number of impressions for each targeting criteria depends on the limitations you set and competition with other advertisers. More information about the Yandex.Direct auction

How to set up bid management

General recommendations

It's important to keep in mind that your bid affects ad position. No strategy can guarantee placement in a specific position if the bid is too low.

You can use the system forecast as a guide when setting your bids. Don't forget that the competitive playing field in Yandex.Direct is constantly changing (advertisers regularly optimize their campaign settings — lowering and raising bids, changing the time setting and regions for impressions and so on). For this reason, you should pay careful attention to all indicators when managing bids manually and try to react to changes in the system in a timely manner.

Daily budget

The minimum daily budget is 17 TL. Along with the budget, you can set the ad display mode:

  • Standard mode (default) — ads will continue to display until the daily budget is spent.

  • Dispersed budget mode — the budget will be spread across the entire day or the period you entered in the time targeting settings.

The daily budget can only be changed up to three times a day.

Display position in search results

By default, your ads will aim to occupy the highest position possible in search results. In your strategy settings you can specify that it is better to place your ads below the search results.

Bids for impressions in ad networks

If you selected impressions on all sites, then by default you will only be able to set bids for impressions in search results, whereas bids for ad networks will be calculated according to your ad network settings. To manually set bids for ad networks, enable separate bid management in the strategy settings.

You can change strategies at any time in the campaign settings. If you switch from a manual strategy to an automatic strategy and back again, the bids you set are saved.
