How to add URL parameters to a campaign
How to add shared parameters
Under URL parameters, specify your shared tags, including UTM tags, and dynamic parameters:
When creating or editing a campaign, tags and parameters are automatically added to each link in every ad in every campaign group. This includes links, sitelinks, and the button.

If a Turbo page is specified in the ad, then the URL parameters apply. If only a vCard is specified, the parameters won't be added to it.
URL parameters are only available for Text & Image ads, dynamic ads, and smart banners.
When you update URL parameters, your ads are resubmitted for moderation.
How parameters are prioritized
Parameters from the URL parameters sections have priority over those in the ad's Link to site field. If they both contain values for the same parameter, the value from URL parameters is applied.
-
For example, if you set the following URL parameters at the campaign level:
utm_source=yandex&utm_medium=cpc
And added the following parameters in your ad link:
utm_source=ya&utm_medium=perfomance&utm_name=brand
The resulting link will include:
utm_source=yandex&utm_medium=cpc&utm_name=brand
-
When you set URL parameters at the campaign, group, and ad level, they are applied to ad links as follows:
Parameters set at the ad level take priority over those at the group and campaign levels.
Parameters set at the group level take priority over those at the campaign level.
In other words, tags from the URL parameters for the ad are added to the ad link and sitelinks before all others. If they are missing, the tags at the group level are applied instead. If no tags are set at the ad or group levels, the system applies the tags from the campaign level.
If the ad link already contains tags, the tags from URL parameters are added to them. If both the link and URL parameters contain values for the same parameter, the value from the latter is applied.
- Example 1
-
You specified the following URL parameters at the campaign level:
utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=yandex
Parameters at the group level:
utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=yandex&utm_term={ad_id}
Link in ad:
re-store.ru/?utm_term={keyword}&utm_content=HappyNY#ancor
Resulting link:
re-store.ru/?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=yandex&utm_term={ad_id}&utm_content=HappyNY#ancor
- Example 2
At the campaign level, you set the following parameters:
utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=yandex
You haven't set any parameters at the group level.
Link in ad:
Resulting link:re-store.ru/?utm_term={keyword}&utm_content=HappyNY#ancor
re-store.ru/?utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=yandex&utm_term={keyword}&utm_content=HappyNY#ancor
- Tags in promo links
-
Tags set under URL parameters at any level are not added to the link under Promo. Tags from the promo link take priority over the tags set under URL parameters.
When you update URL parameters, your ads are resubmitted for moderation.
