# Carousel

An image carousel is a great way to show your product or service from different angles in your ad, explain how it's made, and highlight its benefits or unique features. You can add between 2 and 10 images to your ad in the specified order.

The image carousel is shown in [Smart Design](https://yandex.com.tr/support/direct/en/efficiency/improve-your-ads.md#smart-design)-enabled [YAN](https://yandex.com.tr/support/direct/en/general/yan.md) ads, as well as on Yandex services.

## How to set up the carousel {#how-to-configure}

You can add a carousel when creating or editing an ad in a unified performance campaign.

Under **Carousel**, click **Add slide**. Upload the images or drag and drop files into the box.

If you add the carousel to your ad, an [image](https://yandex.com.tr/support/direct/en/efficiency/images.md) is required.

Technical requirements for slides:

- Size — at least 450 pixels on each side

- Maximum file size — 10 MB.

- Format — JPG, PNG or GIF (only the first frame will be used).

- Make sure that the difference between the length-to-width ratio of each additional slide and the main image in the carousel is less than 0.15. If it's 0.15 or higher, you can't combine images into the carousel.

> For example, your carousel contains the main 600 × 800 image, and you add two additional 900 × 800 and 720 × 1200 images. Let's calculate the aspect ratios:
>
> 600 : 800 = 0.75
>
> 800 : 800 = 1
>
> 720 : 1200 = 0.6
>
> Let's compare the ratios: 0.75-0.6 = 0.15 and 1-0.75 = 0.25. The condition for combining images is that the difference must be less than 0.15. Therefore, neither of the two additional images will be included in the carousel. It's better to crop the first image to the size of 600 x 800, and the second image to 720 × 1100.
>
> Calculation is done the same way if the image aspect ratios are known (3 : 2, 4 : 3, and 16 : 9).

To change the slide order, click and hold ![](../_assets/button-move.png) next to the slide and drag it. The images in the carousel will show up in your preset order.

You can crop each slide in the carousel and set up [smart centers](#smart-center) for them. To preview the carousel, click **Preview**.

All images must meet the [design requirements](https://yandex.com.tr/support/direct/en/moderation/ad-rules.md#pics). The carousel can show up in an ad if **all** its slides have passed moderation.

You can add the carousel to multiple ads at once using [bulk updates](https://yandex.com.tr/support/direct/en/campaigns/multi-edit.md#multi-editing) in ads or [bulk actions with ads](https://yandex.com.tr/support/direct/en/campaigns/multi-edit.md#mass-edit).
