# Filter ad groups using tags
Tags let you merge ad groups within a campaign, making it quicker to search for and edit ads. You can view all your ad groups that have with the same tag label at once and perform group actions with them.
Using tags, you can easily organize your ad groups by product category, brand, or product price.
## Create and edit tags {#create-tags}
1. Select a campaign.
2. In the **Groups** tab, select the groups you need, then click **Actions** → **Tags** → **Replace**.
3. Enter words and phrases separated by commas. The maximum tag length is 25 characters including all symbols other than commas. You can create up to 200 tags in a campaign. You can enter up to 30 tags for ad groups.
4. Click **Save** to assign the tags to the group.
You can rename tags, delete existing tags, or create new ones: in the setup window, click  → **Manage tags**.
To hide the **Tags** section:
1. In the left panel, click your username and select **Account and notifications**.
2. Under **Account** on the **Account** tab, disable **Show tags**.
3. Click **Save**.
## Use tags {#common-tags}
In Yandex Direct, you can use the already existing tags to filter ad groups. To do this, select the ad campaign and go to its ad groups. Click **Tags** and select one or more tags from the list.
