Retargeting technology is now available for advertisers in Turkey
Several new updates are coming to the Turkish interface of Yandex.Direct.
- Retargeting technology for ads in the Yandex network
Retargeting technology is now available for ads which are served on Yandex network sites. It will allow you to serve specific ads to users that have already visited your site in the past.
This retargeting technology (known as "target audience" in the interface) allows you to bring back users who were interested in your site in the past. For example, some users can be offered additional services to things they have already ordered, while others can be served discounts on products that they have already viewed.
This retargeting technology uses data from Yandex.Metrica counters. Goals that detail each important user action should be specified in your Yandex.Metrica counter. In the Yandex.Direct web interface you can create criteria for serving ads from these goals, set bids on these criteria, and also specify the minimum or maximum number of days that have elapsed since a user visited a site.
You can read more about how retargeting technology works in the relevant Yandex.Direct help section.
- New bid adjustments type: target audience
Accompanying the launch of retargeting technology in the Turkish interface is another useful option. You will be able to automically increase or decrease bids while serving ads to those users who have already visited your site and completed certain actions. The “target audience” bid adjusment is applied specifically to the original bids on phrases both on Yandex search and on Yandex network sites.
For instance, a user, who visited your online store and placed an item in their basket (but did not complete their purchase), enters a search query on Yandex. If such users are important to you, then ads can be served to them in more visible positions on search by setting a bid coefficient increase of +300% to the original bid (for example).
