To open the tab control panel, click on the side panel or press the following keys: Ctrl + Shift + E in Windows or Shift + + E in macOS.

Note. The icon appears if the side panel is enabled and you have more than 10 tabs open. To add the icon manually, right-click on the side panel and select Tab manager.

To manage tabs, you can use:

  2. Click the icon:
    • — To copy tab addresses.

Number and size of tabs

There is no limit on the number of tabs you can have open in Yandex Browser. However, having a lot of tabs open may overload your computer processor and memory.

Note. Users may have several dozen tabs open simultaneously in the browser. However, when you launch Yandex Browser, it doesn't load more than 10 tabs so that your computer's memory and resources will not be overloaded. Furthermore, it loads them consecutively, rather than simultaneously. Videos and flash content will only start playing in the active tab.
Tab width

If you have more than 50 tabs open in the browser, a horizontal scrolling icon will appear to the right of them. To avoid the tabs becoming too small when you have a lot of them open:

  1. Tap  → Settings.
  2. Go to Interface.
  3. In the Tabs section, select the Limit minimum tab width option.
Tab preview

Many open tabs become difficult to navigate. So when you hover the mouse cursor over a tab, the browser displays a thumbnail of the page. If you want to disable tab preview:

  1. Tap  → Settings.
  2. Go to Interface.
  3. In the Tabs section, disable the Show tab thumbnails on hoveroption.

Sync tabs

After synching all your devices with a Yandex account, you can view tabs that are open on your other computer, tablet, or smartphone. This feature is useful in the following situations:

  • If you have two computers — a work computer and a home computer. For example, let's say that you looked at a website on your work computer and didn't close the tab. When you're back at home, you can just open the tab and continue working.
  • If you have a mobile device and a computer. For example, you might find an interesting website on your smartphone or tablet and decide that you want to view it on a larger screen.
Synchronization conditions
  1. All devices (computer, smartphone, tablet) must have Yandex Browser installed on them.
  2. You must have syncing enabled on all your devices.
  3. You must use the same Yandex account on all the devices you want to sync.
