Protect: manage your passwords

The Password manager for Yandex Browser for Mobile allows you to easily view, change, and delete your passwords.

  1. View password
  2. Change password
  3. Delete passwords
  4. Disable password manager

View password

To view usernames and passwords from a specific website:

  1. Tap  → Passwords.
  2. If you have already created a master password, please enter it to access your data storage.
  3. Tap a site name in the Passwords section.
  4. Tap Show password.

Change password

To change a password from a specific website:

  1. Tap  → Passwords.
  2. If you have already created a master password, please enter it to access your data storage.
  3. Tap a site name in the Passwords section.
  4. In the upper-right corner of the window that opens, tap Change.
  5. Edit your username, password or password comment.
  6. In the upper-right corner, tap Done.

Delete passwords

Website password
  1. Tap  → Passwords.
  2. If you have already created a master password, please enter it to access your data storage.
  3. In the Passwords section, swipe the required website to the left.
  4. Tap Delete.
  5. Confirm deletion.
All passwords
  1. Tap  → Passwords.
  2. If you have already created a master password, please enter it to access your data storage.
  3. Scroll down the list of passwords from websites and tap Delete all passwords.
  4. Confirm deletion.

Disable password manager

Note. If you disable the password manager on your smartphone, it will still stay enabled on other devices.

If you use a third-party password manager and do not want the browser to save and insert passwords:

  1. Tap  → Settings.
  2. In the Passwords section, tap Settings.
  3. Disable the Save passwords option.

Now the browser stops saving passwords, inserting them into authorization forms and requesting your master password to access your vault. Previously entered passwords will stay encrypted on your smartphone to become available if you re-enable the bank card manager.

To do this, enable the Save passwords option in Settings again.
