Where can I download the app?

How can I update the app?

The device's operating system automatically detects when there is an update for the app and asks if you want to install it. You can also manually update Yandex Browser to the latest version:

  1. Open Google Play on the mobile device.

  2. Tap in the upper-left corner and select My apps & games.

  3. Tap Yandex Browser with Alice.

  4. Tap Update.

    Note. If you already have the latest version of the app, you will see the Open button instead of Update.

How do I set the default browser?

  1. Open a new tab.
  2. Tap  → Default browser.

Uninstall Yandex Browser

  1. Open Google Play on the mobile device.

  2. Tap in the upper-left corner and select My apps & games.

  3. Go to the Installed tab.
  4. In the list of installed apps, tap Yandex Browser.
  5. Click Uninstall.
  6. Confirm deletion by tapping OK.

Disable automatic updates

Yandex Browser is constantly being improved: we add new features and update the security system so you can safely work online. Only the latest browser version gives you maximum protection against internet-based threats.

To disable automatic browser updates:

  1. Go to Google Play settings.
  2. Go to My apps & games → Installed and select Yandex Browser.
  3. At the top right, tap and deselect Auto-update.

We strive to improve Yandex Browser with every update.

Updates don't always add new features, but they improve app performance, optimize the way iy works, and give you extra security and protection against viruses and malware.

Not enough space to install

To install Yandex Browser, you need at least 100 MB of free internal memory on your tablet. If necessary, free up some space.

Note. External memory (for example, an SD card) doesn't count. On some tablets, you can move the browser to external memory — but only after installation.
