# Document scanner

Smart Camera can scan documents and process them (e.g., to increase contrast).

Allow Yandex Browser to [access](https://yandex.com.tr/support/browser-mobile-android-phone/en/install/permissions.md#camera) your camera and files in the device settings.

1. Open Yandex Browser and click ![](../_assets/scan1.png) in the [SmartBox](https://yandex.com.tr/support/browser-mobile-android-phone/en/navigation/search.md#smartbox).

1. Switch to **Scanner** mode.

1. Point the camera at the document and take a picture by tapping the **Scanner** button. You can also select a document from the device’s gallery (tap the round icon with a thumbnail of the last photo in the bottom right corner).

1. Select the document mode at the bottom of the screen:
    
    - **original** — the document photo remains unchanged;
    
    - **scan** — a processed color photo with increased contrast;
    
    - **black and white** — a processed black and white photo with increased contrast.
    
1. You can edit the photo:

    ![](../_assets/turn-right.png) — rotate 90° to the right;

    ![](../_assets/cut.png) — crop;

    ![](../_assets/delete.png) — delete.

1. On the panel at the bottom, tap:

    ![](../_assets/more.png) — to photograph another document;

    ![](../_assets/save.png) — to save the result. Assign a file name and choose where to save it or with whom to share it.
