Playing videos in the browser
Yandex Browser for Mobile can open mp4, webm, ogv, and x-m4v video files.
flv, wmv, and hls video files are not supported.

Skip forward/back
- To skip 10 seconds forward or back, tap twice on the right or left edge of the video, respectively.
View videos on top of apps

This feature isn't available to all users because it's still in development.
If you switch to a different app when viewing a full-screen video in Yandex Browser, it continues playing in a small pop-out window, which appears on top of the other app (also known as Picture in Picture, or PiP). Tap the pop-out window to go back to viewing the video in Yandex Browser. You can drag the video window to any part of your screen.
To enable this feature:

Turn on these options:

Show on top of other applications: When you exit full-screen mode, the video continues in a separate window.

Show video when leaving the tab: When you switch to another Yandex Browser tab or another app, the video continues in a separate window.

Video problems
Video lags
The sound is ahead of the video, or a black screen is displayed instead of the video.
Temporarily disable extensions and power saving mode, then clear the cache and cookies. Check whether your browser cache is saved to a memory card.
Disable power saving

In Power-saving settings, slide the option to the left to Off.
Clearing the cache

Go to the Privacy section.

Select Cache.

Deselect all the other options (if you only want to delete the browser cache).

Deselect all other options (if you only want to delete cookies).

Low video quality
The quality of video playback usually depends on your web connection speed. If it's inexplicably low, try clearing the cache:

Deselect all the other options (if you only want to delete the browser cache).

I can't disable video autoplay on a website
When you go to certain sites, videos start playing automatically. It's not possible to disable this feature for websites in Yandex Browser.
