Beautiful and iconic spot on the Bosphorus. Even just viewing it from the shore is a special experience, especially at sunset. The surroundings are peaceful and perfect for a stroll. A must-see for anyone visiting Istanbul
One of the best airports I’ve been to. Transportation to and from the airport is smooth and efficient. Both arrivals and departures are handled flawlessly every time. I especially enjoy departing from Terminal E and taking the Skymetro — it adds a nice futuristic touch to the experience.
Compact and efficient airport. Arrival is especially smooth for EU and Swiss passport holders. While the airport is on the smaller side, it handles things well and keeps waiting times low. Public transport connections to nearby cities are decent, mostly via buses.
Stuttgart Airport is small and easy to navigate, with a smooth departure process. However, there’s no automated passport control, so expect delays—especially if you’re a non-EU traveler. Food options are decent and fairly priced, and the airport has good city connections via two metro lines.
Absolutely worth seeing for its historical significance and stunning exterior, but with the steep ticket prices for foreigners, it might be wiser to admire it from the outside and view the interior online. There are better ways to spend your money in Istanbul.
Great spot to enjoy the sea view and relax. The promenade is modern and clean, with a nice selection of restaurants and cafes—slightly pricier than average, but nothing extreme. It can get quite crowded when cruise ships are docked, so keep that in mind if you’re planning a calm stroll
Lovely historic train station with charming architecture and a nostalgic vibe. It’s worth a visit even if you’re not catching a train. If you’re planning to travel to Ankara or other major destinations, be sure to book your tickets well in advance — options can fill up quickly
A sleek and modern bridge offering a unique perspective of the Golden Horn. Whether you’re crossing by metro or on foot, the views of the old city on one side and the Bosphorus on the other are spectacular. A great example of how contemporary infrastructure can blend into a historic skyline.
Great spot for a scenic walk connecting two iconic parts of Istanbul. You get wonderful views of both the Golden Horn and the historic skyline, especially during sunset. Locals line the bridge with fishing rods, adding to the charm. Just be ready for some crowds, especially on weekends.
One of Istanbul’s most iconic landmarks. The mosque is stunning both inside and out, with breathtaking domes and elegant minarets. Entry is free, but there can be long queues, especially around prayer times, so plan accordingly. Dress modestly and remember this is an active place of worship. A must-see when in the Sultanahmet area.
