Tasks that await you
- Managing a variety of legal business matters, organizing and advising on appropriate legal action such as regulatory initiatives in the area of online services (search engine, apps, educational services, media, and more), intermediate liability, intellectual property, and privacy and data protection regulation
- Communicating with UAE regulatory authorities
- Applying relevant expertise in practical areas such as complex service transactions, compliance, and regulatory matters
- Providing practical legal risk mitigation strategies for the company’s products across the UAE jurisdiction
- Advising on legal matters regarding the operations of the company’s online services, their core features, IP and privacy issues, and litigation and arbitration
- Coordinating legal tasks handled by outside counsel
We expect that you
- Have a law degree from a UAE university
- Have four to five years of relevant experience
- Are fluent in Arabic and English
- Are a permanent resident in the UAE
- Have solid risk assessment skills
- Have strong competence and confidence to influence, persuade, communicate, and negotiate
- Have additional experience on litigating legal matters, preferably disputes involving the tech industry
- Are able to manage relationships with outside counsel
- Have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask
It'd be a plus if you
- Have experience working in an IT company
- Have experience at a top-tier law firm, government agency, and/or in-house legal department
- Have an LLM degree
- Have experience working independently and cross-functionally
- Are fluent in Russian
