Tasks that await you

Work independently to completely handle CMF for projects, facilitating effective and smooth communication between the internal team and suppliers
Tune colors and master materials to ensure consistency prior to production
Collaborate with designers at the concept stage to define specifications and take responsibility for them in production, monitoring all production processes to keep it continuous and ensure stable high quality
Handle CMF product innovation for colors (all colors and rules in Panton or NCS), materials (plastic, metal, fabric, and more), and finishing processes (tooling, injection, painting, polishing, textures, and more)
Benchmark against competing products and help with design
Research preliminary CMF designs, analyze colors, and verify material processes, proposing a CMF design plan aimed at boosting our competitive advantage through product appearance
Build a CMF material library, manage CMF manufacturer resources, schedule manufacturer proofing resources, and track implementation to drive progress
Work closely with designers and engineers, communicate with cross-functional teams, and sync with the team to ensure that products and schedules meet project requirements
Use effective communication tools to convey concept, theme, color, and research ideas to suppliers and management
Apply knowledge of consumer design trends and forecasting on the product and manufacturing sides, improve the CMF level of product appearance, and advance the manufacturing process

We expect that you

Have a bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably with a design major (industrial design/art design/mechanical or visual communication/product design)
Have 10+ years of experience working on consumer electronic products, components, and manufacturing processes
Pay close attention to detail
Can show examples of leadership and the ability to influence others)
Have Chinese HSK 4 and English C1 proficiency
Based in Shenzhen

It'd be a plus if you

Have an MBA
Have 5+ years of experience working on top-ten mobile, PC, TV, and IT company brands
